Inspired by a recent trip to Paris and a love for Japanese textiles, owner and designer Rian Robison has spent the last year and a half researching, experimenting and developing the original dye techniques featured in her new line. Whether painting with algae-thickened dye directly on the fabric or working in small batches to perfectly control color gradients, each piece is created from scratch at her studio and storefront located in the International District in Seattle, Washington.

Each kimono is made from a lightweight semi-sheer woven 100% rayon fabric that is hand-dyed in a variety of custom mixed colors and original patterns with professional quality fiber reactive dyes, ensuring wash-fast and vibrant shades. The minimalist shape of the kimonos create beautiful drape over the shoulders, and the rectangular cut produces little to no material waste by utilizing whole pieces of fabric without scraps from corners and irregular cuts.
